“I Will, I Wont, I Want” explores the new science of Goal setting and Self-Control. Led by Expert LifeStyle Coach, Zoe Green, this workshop will empower you to improve your health, happiness, and productivity in ways you haven’t done before. o When it comes to reaching your goals what would you say has stopped you or held you back the most? o If you could do anything with the life you have in front of you what would it be and why? o If you could change anything about your future, as you see it unfolding now, what would it be? Perhaps you’ve tried and failed at goals in the past this is typically due to a combination of our old programs and obstacles. Informed by the latest research, and combining cutting-edge insights from psychology, economics, neuroscience, and medicine, you will learn how to start Creating Your Future in Advance with Active Goal setting, and then how to stay on track by hacking into The New Willower - and , having fun while you do it! “I Will, I Wont, I Want” builds on top of just setting goals — we go further to uncover the limiting beliefs that may be stopping you over and over. Research has shown us that everything we’ve ever been told about ourselves gets programmed into our subconscious and that these beliefs are acted upon as if they are true – even if they are not. People who have better control of their attention, emotions, and actions are healthier, happier, have more satisfying relationships, and make more money. Willpower is a mind-body tool, that can be improved through mindfulness, exercise, nutrition, and sleep. But how? Temptation and stress hijack the brain's systems of self-control, but the good news is that we the brain can be trained for greater willpower, and we will do it together. Based on the work of Dr. Helmstetter and Dr. McGonigal this workshop will empower you for the new year and every year after. The research has discovered a lot about what works and what doesn’t; everything we do together has been tested and used successfully with thousands of people in all walks of life.

o Please bring paper and pen, curiosity and excitement!

o We will not be doing yoga, but we will be sitting on the floor so please wear comfortable clothes.

DIY Bodywork: Release Deep Tissue Tension

Hard to reach knots in your back? Tension building up in your neck? Weight of the world on your shoulders?

Join Zoe for an afternoon of delicious deep tissue release using everyday props to ease the impact of stress on the body.

Take home simple self-care techniques that will help you melt stubborn muscles and bring a sense of rejuvenation into the body!

Sitting for long periods, constant typing/texting, commutes spent gripping the steering wheel  - our every day activities can accumulate in the body.  Even our yoga practice, workouts or picking up our kids have an impact!

In this workshop, you will:

  • Open your chest, release tension in your spine, and work those tight back muscles exactly where they ache.

  • Melt congestion from your neck and shoulders

  • Release forearms, wrists and hands

  • Soothe sore feet

  • Find relief from headache

  • Body tools will be provided to use during the workshop and some will be available for purchase (Cash Only)

  • Please feel free to bring any interesting items such as tennis balls or bouncy balls to discuss how you might try to incorporate it into your home routine!

Meet your Hosts:

Zoe, Kanami and Andrew. 

Zoe: yoga / Pilates / Nidra meditation / surf rehabilitation teacher -  A survival Spanish speaker, Zoe is here for all ways non-verbal. She is excited to take you cafe hoping, Salsa dancing,  and Oaxacan art & culture cruising!  For more on Zoe, see "Meet Zoe!" on this site.

Kanami: yoga teacher / surf reference / part-time resident - has been guiding people out of their comfort zones and into wild new places for almost two decades. She was a whitewater rafting guide for 12 years in Canada, Japan, Australia, Uganda, and Colombia. She has also been a dedicated yogi since the age of eighteen, and eventually transitioned out of outdoor guiding and into the yoga world. She opened up her own yoga studio in the ski town of Niseko in northern Japan eight years ago which she operates every winter.

Andrew: cultural liaison / surf guru / part-time resident - Andrew was competitive with his surf team and later went on his own in search of fun and challenging waves around the world. He has surfed in Indonesia, South Africa, Zambia, Morocco, Mozambique, Canada, and all over South and Central America. Lately he is most interested in big wave surfing, and fell in love with Puerto Escondido where he is currently building a house to eventually live in Mexico full-time.
